Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.

Happy Halloween, 2009!
This is Ichigo and Rukia as Superman/Clark Kent and Lois Lane from Superman: The Animated Series, one of my favorite shows of all time. The Superman costume, however, is partially based on the outfit from Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, because I don't like the shiny underpants of the former.  Other Things of Note: 1. The glasses in Rukia's hair are Ichigo's and are modeled from the library spread here. 2. Rukia's pen, stuck into her notebook's spirals, is modeled after Sode no Shirayuki. It just ended up too small to see. 3. Rukia's doodle on her notebook is based on an episode of Lois & Clark in which Lois unconsciously doodles The S on her legal pad. 4. Ichigo's crest is, of course, his shinigami badge. Things I Know Are Wrong: Rukia's too tall, I only have the most tenuous grasp on male anatomy, and that dumb flippy cape corner's completely off. But I love it anyway. Hand-sketched, colored in CS2. |
